At the end of 2009, I remember talking with Michelle late one night. We both had a strong sense that 2010 was going to be an incredible year. We didn’t know how, but we believed in faith that God had something in the works for us. I was feeling unsatisfied with my work, Michelle was between jobs, money was tight, and our marriage was on the tail end of one it’s biggest storms. To some, it may have been tough to feel how much good was ahead of us. Yet, we trusted and knew that God was up to something. Low and behold, it was the best year of our lives (up to that point). I landed a new job in March, Michelle found her dream job shortly after, we paid off a lot of debt, took our most memorable vacation to the Macy’s Day Parade in NYC, our marriage took off, and we had found an incredible and challenging new church home at LifeChurch.tv (where Michelle and I also found our new jobs).
As we enter 2012, I don’t quite have the same feeling I did at the beginning of 2010, but I do have an overwhelming vision of opportunity this new year brings…more than I ever have. I see a lot of vocational challenges (the good kind) and a chance to establish some solid family roots as we welcomed the birth of our first child, a boy, Truett. With all that can be accomplished this year, I have a tremendous amount of passion and focus to fulfill the calling I feel God has laid on my heart.
That’s a very long and elaborate explanation of a very mediocre bit of news. I create a wallpaper for my iPhone ![]()
Ok. I’m laughing a bit at myself now for that ridiculous build up. Nevertheless, I created one to remind me of my mantra for the first quarter of this year. It’s a consistent reminder to help keep me focused on all that I see can be accomplished this year. Feel free to download the image yourself and use it on your own phone!

Facetime+Dogs

So last night, Michelle and I experimented with our iPad and dogs (Mini and Bella). What we found out, is that dogs (much like humans) are amazed…and confused…with Facetime!! I think those dogs could have watched for hours, and we would have been just as entertained watching them. Without question, we will be doing this often in the future.
Human Flight
I have determined that 1 of the first things I do when I get to heaven is get in the line to fly. Every bit of me wishes I could fly. I’ve determined the closest things to accomplishing this here on Earth are hang gliding (which I have yet to do) and sky diving (which I also have yet to do). As if this desire was not already strong enough, this video helps throw it way over the edge… Simply stunning.
Meisner Announcement
With a little help from one my wife’s favorite artists, Justin Beiber, the Meisner family has a bit of an announcement to make!
